Sonic has two canon characters that are based off of existing characters from different SEGA games:

- Sticks The Badger, who is based off Aika from Skies of Arcadia

I can see Link, Samus, and Captain Falcon for example would fit the series’ intense anime tone. I especially hope the next game will include all 3 main Xenoblade protagonists: Shulk, Rex, Elma, Pyra/Mythra, and Noah
