One of our more unusual #Christmas postcards features a swastika, c. 1900's This symbol has been in use for 1,000's of years. In late 19th & early 20th C Western cultures used it as a good luck symbol (like a four-leaf clover or a horseshoe) @johncreedon @NMIreland @IrishTimes
