It's been incredibly warm lately, so rather than photographing I've been creating 3D scenes for future tutorials/demos. Thought I'd share a few—slowly getting better at 3D workflows in #blender. Post production in #AffinityPhoto of course!
Thank you to everyone who joined my live #AffinityPhoto session last night. I really enjoyed interacting with you all in the chat and hope you found the techniques demonstrated useful.
Here are the finished #astrophotography images from the stream:
I've released v11 of my #astrophotography macros for #AffinityPhoto...
• New sharpening methods
• Green channel de-noising/synthetic substitution
• Non-destructive OSC narrowband mapping
• Highlight preserving tone boost
Plus more! Free download: https://t.co/F3Fqsoev6u
Another play with @TelescopeLiveHQ data—this time it's #NGC3324. The data is of very high quality. I'm really enjoying OSH colour mapping at the moment, it lends a completely different feel to narrowband imagery.
As usual, stacked & edited in @affinitybyserif #AffinityPhoto!
Over the weekend I released v10 of my #astrophotography macros for #AffinityPhoto.
11 new functions, plus improvements and bug fixes mean it's worth grabbing if you're using a previous version!
Free download: https://t.co/RQKCzHqnzh
Here are a couple of edits using the macros:
Just released version 2 of my Filter Gallery macros for #AffinityPhoto
Improvements to existing macros plus new effects such as infrared false colour, pastel, painterly sketch, aged paper, faded matte, vintage tinting & procedural light beam!
Free d/l: https://t.co/N5oyj4IgyR
Version 6 of my #astrophotography macros for #AffinityPhoto now available: more non-destructive goodness such as logarithmic tone mapping, weighted RGB live masking, weighted saturation masking, star inpainting, star defringing & more!
Free download: https://t.co/Bkg9GXYHGe
Playing around with #astrophotography again in #AffinityPhoto—trying different colour edits of the Carina Nebula (two SHO & two HSO compositions).
Prefer the second one I think! Pulling colour detail out is really easy when you can do everything in 32-bit linear colour space..
Thanks to everyone who watched my 'Enhancing Low Light' session for @ukphotoshow this morning.
Tune in again at 7pm for #astrophotography stacking & retouching in #AffinityPhoto—includes various retouching techniques and use of Snapshots!

Latest #astrophotography edited in #AffinityPhoto (#32bit start to end): Andromeda Galaxy, Horsehead and Flame Nebula, Pleiades, Orion Nebula and Running Man.
Look out for an astrophotography editing tutorial in the near future! #madeinaffinity
