The Tatami Galaxy (Novel)

Like the show it birthed, the novel is amazing. With the story's unique structure, this cast is easily my favorite of Morimi's.

The more of Morimi I read the more I can see his influence seep into my works. He's become a huge inspiration.

SD Rapid Fire Round 4

... Stage Fright: The jokes are mid, and the mystery was annoying. Had some moments, very average movie.

... Wrestlemania Mystery: Just a worst version of the Blue Falcon one imo. I did enjoy laughing at the absurdity of it.

... Music of the Vampire - Mystery was fine, jokes were solid, but why is it a musical the songs are SO bad.

... Big Top - Same as the AA case with the same namesake it really drags. Funnier than Music but a way worse mystery. Nasty werewolf designs.

Scooby-Doo! Legend of the Phantosaur

It's similar to Abracadabra-Doo but overall not as strong as that one. Wasn't the biggest fan of Velma's love interest. Funny to see the origin of badass Shaggy tho.

SD Marathon Rapid Fire 2

... and the Goblin King - Had the same issues as the previous four but with way stronger writing.

... and the Samurai Sword - Actually followed the Scooby structure, but it had this gross racist 2000s orientalist vibe. Monsters were real AGAIN.

Also in the ones where there are monsters they're just real and cuz it's only Shaggy and Scooby it's never really questioned.

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish

That was really solid. The writing was nice really solid, the animation was stellar, and I honestly really have zero issues with the film at all. Strongly recommend it if you have any interest in seeing the movie at all.

Green vs. Red

I never thought Id compare anything to Three Jokers ever, but this is Three Jokers with the different Jacket eras.

The animation and references are really neat when they pop off but alone they fail to make a compelling story.

Robin & Batman

A fantastic short 3 issue story that encapsulates what makes early Dick Grayson so entertaining. Couldn't put it down till I finished it. Also the watercolor art is amazing.
