For those that missed the Kickstarter, BEYOND THE STARS, the great new sci fi epic from Ron Fortier and Andrea Brmza (and I lettered it) is available now from Indyplanet in a variety of variant covers.

HE ONLY HAS EYES FOR ELLEN…BUT I DON’T THINK SHE BELIEVES THAT.

I could have EASILY filled the page with more of Denny Colt’s femme fatales. Went with my favorites. From left to right: Dr. Silken Floss. Sand Seref. Skinny Bones. Dulcet Tones. Lorelei Rox. And…P’Gell.
RIP ALAN GRANT
Easily one of my favorite periods in Batman history was Alan Grant’s run on both Batman and Detective (usually with the great Norm Breyfogle). So many new villains were created during this time, as well as, the steady evolution of Tim Drake becoming Robin.
Here’s an edit to my last post. Had a minor revision.
I suppose I was trying my best to homage a Who’s Who cover for this one. One of these days I’m going to draw an Infinity Inc cover. Fury, Jade and Dr. Mid-nite I suppose are good starts.
PRE-CRISIS HEROINES OF DC
22x17 Commission
Companion piece to the golden age ladies I did a bit ago. Multi-figures find you figuring out placement and clear views of the characters. It’s a balance. Few ladies I’ve never drawn before.

BATMAN Vs REAPER
Batman Year One gets all the love. And, deservedly so. But that story is about Jim Gordon and a young Bruce Wayne trying to find his way. Batman Year Two by Mike W. Barr, Alan Davis and Todd McFarlane is a Batman, the masked hero, story from start to finish.
Boxes are put away. Things are slowly starting to go into place. Two months of distractions, moving preparations and other aggravations are going to the wayside. Let’s get back to making comics and commissions. First thing in the queue?
#Allstartober 12
COMMANDER STEEL.
Created by Gerry Conway and Don Heck, the Commander here fought the good fight in WW II. I had this image in my head of him punching out the first All Star Squadron villain I read, the baddest of the bad, Baron Blitzkrieg.
