A quick diversion from mask work - a speed sculpt of a mule!
I really loved working on this guy! Here are some detail shots without his wings~ (2/2)
Meet Draper, a fantastical raptor belonging to @Limeypie! Among other things, he features poseable eyelids, a feathered mane, and removeable shoulder wings with an iridescent coating. (1/2)
@screenclay Working on a tiger sculpt for 3d printing, and really appreciating how much of the anatomy basics carry directly over from the human form!
Closing in on the finish line! I have a short list of fixes and polish to do, and the fur's not finalized, but then I'll be looking into getting him set up for 3d printing!
@Fossilcurd Both! Or rather, I start from scratch by making a skeletal base, ha. I make the base in T-pose and then pose it before sculpting over top. In this case I'm re-using the same skeleton for each new pose I do.
Done for today! I still want to tweak a few things about this pose but I'll go ahead and start refining it next time, while I figure that out.
That's all for now! Pretty happy with the primary shapes so far, but I'll let them sit for a while before defining them more with the secondaries. Feel free to mute #tigersculpt if you don't want to see updates :)
If you've been wanting to learn about sculpting in zBrush for 3D printing, I have good news! I've put together a tutorial and starter kit on @gumroad aimed at making mask bases! It includes pre-sized mannequin heads, and you can check it out here: https://t.co/iZGZzUXFpw
