The storm is torrential, 11 teachers are out, and campus is starting to flood, I probably am back too early but today is going to be chaos. I will have my room open during lunch for kiddos. Other schools closed, but many kids depend on us for food so we are open! Let’s do this!
This art by @SanctimonyArt is a big mood some days. Today was mostly good, only a little chaos, Not like the student yesterday, who I kid you not, spent the entire class death glaring at me to the point my autistic masking dropped and I couldn’t even look that direction at all.
Today so far has involved: a tornado warning, a flooding classroom, a kid injuring themselves by running and slipping, being scheduled to be in three different classrooms, and now the lights are flickering like we are in for a power outage. The day is only half done! 😹
Today has been a giant dumpster fire. I must become the magnificent dumpster phoenix!
