A mixed-up spell sends lovely black cat Marina into the water fairies’ underwater cave. Their queen has no use for cats and would let Marina drown. The birth of a new dragon tears their world apart.

Haven't posted for #FairyFriday for months! Here's a #fairy I drew this week for my coloring book (available September). I colored her digitally...the book isn't printed yet and my printer paper just doesn't do colored pencils justice. #coloringbook #FairyKidsandKittens #kidlitart
My New Year's resolution was to draw each day for one hundred days...Today is Day 100. Some drawings are rougher than others. The ones I drew from imagination took the longest. Here's a sampling...and what my pencils looked like after 100 days. #pencilsketch #Marinaandthefairies
My favorite of the watercolors that I painted in 2019 (my husband disagrees). All the paints I used were nonstaining granulating pigments, which made glazing a challenge. #watercolor #danielsmith #watercolorpainting #painting #granulatingcolors #portraits
I've started a Watercolor Paint Along series on my YouTube station. The first few lessons only need 3 paint colors & cold press watercolor paper. This painting of Marina is in the video about transferring sketches onto watercolor paper

The Fourth of July is coming, and Cousin Irene thinks everyone should make their pies with a fancy new pie filling. But Sadie and William like to make pies from their own cherry tree. Are homemade pies really the pits? #pbauthorillustrator #PBpitch

I'm so honored to have been commissioned by Tower Hill to paint the amazing Maria Moreira. This amaranth patch was challenging: The leaves are red green, reflect as blue and glow orange where backlit. Luckily, the pigments didn't muddy. I'll show more later! #Horticulturalheroes
