I've been a 3D artist for many years now, and I can't believe I only just discovered this: Applying negative smoothing before a subdivision can really preserve the shape of a low poly model. This is a big deal for me. But perhaps this was common knowledge.

I saw there's been some controversy in the #paleoart community about Stegosauruses and their cheeks. Now, I'm not a scientist, but here's my interpretation of a stegosaurus eating some giant carrots.
A friend and I challenged each other to a 2-hour painting challenge to step out of our comfort zone: He has to draw a cute character and I have to draw a futuristic landscape.
I hate painting architecture, and I'm super uncomfortable with it. But I'm proud I did something anyway.
