Happy birthday, Hanna Pettyjohn! 🎂
A Filipino-American with a transnational narrative, she possesses firsthand knowledge of the global diaspora. Autobiographical details & “fragments of memory” inform her work—tinged with both nostalgia an acute awareness of life’s transience.
Silverlens wishes everyone a blessed Eid al-Adha! 🕌

Fantasy or reality? 🌗
In her new exhibition, Flower Moon, Kitty Taniguchi presents a new body of work that reflects personal narratives. But amidst these dream-like accounts, there are references to contemporary universal issues, rooted firmly in reality, such as the pandemic.
It was a busy year both at home and abroad for us. We’ve managed to cross far and wide, despite the restrictions prompted by the health crisis.
We are very excited to see what next year will bring. See you all in 2021!

Inspired by the political drama that occurred in Thailand in 2016 and 2018––when the public requested a reform to the existing monarchy––the works in Mit Jai Inn’s digital exhibition, ‘Junta Monochromes’ reflect the era’s unrest.

Happy birthday to Manila-based photographer #FrankCallaghan! Pictured here is his work “First Light 02” (2018), a single exposure capturing moonlight's reflection on water, that expresses the palpable energies of movement and artistic process.
At #SEAFocus, we presented the works of Thai-based artist #MitJaiInn and Sabahan artist #YeeILann. @ElephantMag's Louise Benson included both of them in her round-up of the fair. Read it here, https://t.co/n7JqBYVVOF
