An Arsenic and Old Lace drawing: After a long day of dismembering and disposing of a corpse, Herman falls asleep on Jonny’s lap, leaving Jonny with the moral dilemma of getting up and waking him up, or being stuck there until his legs loose all feeling
'Bring back the 80s' they say, but I don’t see anyone so much as hint at the greatest art and design movement from that era.
So anyways, I made a Memphis style torture chamber
Yesterday evening I was too tired to animate so I drew Peter Lorre characters as cats instead: Mad Love, The Boogie Man will get You, Arsenic & Old Lace, and You’ll Find Out.
(Yes, Fenninger isn’t a cat but that’s because Silver Martens are the most elegant creature known to man)
15 - "Huh, that's funny."
"Hm?"
"There's someone walking down the street, and he looks so much like you, it's uncanny! He could be your doppelgänger."
"Impossible. I killed mine years ago."

10 - "I have it on good information that you are the coroner connected to the Gevangenpoort murder case?"
"And who wants to know?"
"My name is professor Cornelis van Leyden and I - "
"Oh, the detective writer. No, you may not see the body."

06 - "Professor van Leyden! Fancy seeing you here in The Hague!"
"Kees! Delighted to see you but I have to rush! Someone was murdered near the Gevangenenpoort and I must go there and see if I can catch a policeman for more information! Inspiration calls!" #drawtober
05 - "I never knew you came from Schiermonnikoog, dr. Van Helsing!"
"Never told you."
"Well, in any case this'll make our work easier right? You're from here, people like a familiar face, we could get inform... why are you laughing?"
"My dear boy, people hate me here."

04 - "The Bijenkorf? My good man, I go to the Maison de Bonneterie! Where else can I find the latest British fashion that will not fall apart after five wears? And it has some delightful cakes at the tearoom." #drawtober
02 - ‘I must say that since this place opened [ed. Het Nieuwe Huis on the Roelof Hartplein] my experiences have improved (…) My only complaint is that it is so windy. I have lost count of how many times I lost my Stetson, to later find it run over by several bikes!’ #drawtober
01 - Meet Cornelis van Leyden, a stuffy professor in Amsterdam who writes detective novels, and Abraham van Helsing, a no-nonsense ghost and vampire hunter, hailing from mysterious West Frisian lands where the dunes still echo the sounds of ships run ashore #drawtober
