To finish out the piece, I make some final calls on the overall pose and add in all of the details and flourishes (my favorite part!) I finalize the piece with some lighting adjustments and dust particles.

Once I have a good base of the form, I spend a bit of time on the face angles and expression and further polish up the anatomy of the torso.

Now that the piece is a painting and has moved on from the sketch, I begin adding more color and start rendering out the forms and refining the shapes.

I then go through with a hard brush and begin carving out the main features and gestures. This helps me clearly see my current placement of anatomy and identify which parts need to be adjusted.

After solidifying the concept and pose, I cleaned up the sketch into a more solid form and laid down the base shading with a soft brush, trying not to get too saturated at the start.
