I explored some visual ideas that ultimately led to me blending the Lotus, an iconic piece of magic imagery with the celtic knot, an ancient and intrinsic part of ancient irish art!

SO! The first thing we discussed was what symbols and icons of Magic and of Ireland could we think of. We talked of myths and legends, of great artists like Rebecca Guay and Harry Clarke.

we wanted to evoke something both "MTG" and "Irish" without being too gauche.
