They do look a little bit similar when I think of my girl's old design, like the grey/dark grey pallete, green eyes, darker ear tips, so maybe not twins, but long lost cousins instead? xD
I've tweaked her design ever since, it's now a bit more tan!

Vent piece I did in order to test SAI's symmetry tool, it works pretty well in my opinion, I may use it often for front-facing drawings like this in the future
