Some wacky Spinosaurus and Oxalaia drawings from 2018. They have a lot of anatomy issues xD, but I still dig their patterning and integument. Might reuse some of these ideas!
How unsurprising. Whenever someone brings up minority representation and the effects of colonialism in palaeontology or anthropology, the enlightened racist anti-woke snowflakes crawl out of the woodwork.
Only shows why we need more efforts like these. Go support @MEthnicPalAss! https://t.co/83t8QaVNga
Jokes aside btw, I'm not a palaeontologist or any kind of genuine authority over spinosaurids. 😂 I'm just some nerd who's obsessed as shit with drawing them and wants to let others know how cool these animals were too. 'Cause everybody needs more crocoducks in their life. 🐉🌊💖
The rest of her art is dope asf too! Look at these gorgeous critters. Seriously, give @bidnat_ more followers because she doesn't have nearly enough right now!
Admittedly, part of the reason why is many people just haven't been exposed to proper reconstructions of fluffy non-bird dinos.
They hear "feathered dinosaur" and imagine a crocodile-faced bipedal lizard with rainbow macaw feathers glued to its body, instead of stuff like this:
I hereby declare that Mr. Spinosaurus The King's speen privileges have been revoked. 👑🚫
I am the new CEO of Spinosaurus. 🐉🌊
