world for aphis & mal:
an odd mix of post-industrial and modern tech with fantasy ingredients. the old civilizations overrun with monsters, people are gradually pushed back to the isles, hunting is a dirty job. trains, steam ships, electricity. dread/horror backdrop.

mal:
late 20s, he. gun boy. shoots aphis by accident (not his fault) and is constantly up in their business after making everything worse. owns a huge manufacturing company, hates it. part time monster hunter. smells good. had fashion photoshoots done. (old art)

aphis (or dawn):
30s. they. human with a glow augment (the white parts are basically invincible and they can alter the momentum of anything they touch). professional monster hunter. adhd menace and constantly causing problems but not on purpose. major dad issues

nail:
they. 30. their war god issues are a lot more recent and their whole deal is being extremely withdrawn/isolated and appearing kind of passive/distant. cares a lot. afraid to show it. not a words person. in a strange body-state they can't quite make peace with.

iron:
summed up here. post apocalypse/sci-fi near future. very grayscale. about agency and hope in general but deals with a lot of dirt & trauma.
