2023 is on track to be even better—working on Artbook 2, a new line of collectible enamel pins, a new workbook to level up creativity, some new print lines, more comics, YouTube and a renewed focus on kidlit. And that’s the first few months…

Next, lettering. Lettering comics in Procreate is, perhaps, an underwhelming and sometimes frustrating process. On this, I needed help from the Sr. Art Director on the team to help letter in Illustrator and in the process, he made the words much snappier and funnier...

Now, lights. lots of lights. There are two layers of lights. The bottom layer basically is the "fill" of the light bulb. The second layer was duplicated and then I used gaussian blur to get that glow effect...

Layering in some white elements--ghosts, webs, papers in the tree, steam from Joe's koffee...

Add Joe and a very, very tired Death floating in from the left. Again, all elements are built so I can rearrange everything quickly if need be. More work setting up, less during revision or feedback stage...
