it's B! Cavello 🐝さんのイラストまとめ

When I was first sketching, this character was more of a pirate or at least PRETEND pirate, but I worried that I was being overly opinionated about the future trajectory of the lineages for a seed drawing, so inspired by the simpler styles of 60s illustration, I toned it down.

I had originally been inspired to try something in the style of children’s fashion illustration or children’s books, but I think I ended up straying pretty significantly. I’d still love to give these techniques another go!

Finally, what was actually my first drawing for the #DrawingEvolutionGame! This little strawberry was one of the “seed” characters that would serve as the starting point for two evolutionary lines. I had to make sure to keep things simple and leave room for growth.

It was actually during this week of drawing that my finger got crushed in a car door so I was grateful to @yojambo for giving me extra time. I think I actually cheated on this one and handed off a less-polished version which is why I couldn’t change the colors.

This led to some, uhh, interesting results 🥴
