A work-in-progress photo - this is the original sketch I did of Lily Collins (on the right) and the updated sketch after two hours of tinkering (on the left). I’m much happier with it now - originally I didn’t accentuate her features enough because I was scared of messing it up!
@ArunKapur333 Thank you so much for your support. I still love the sketch of you - your portrait photo was so dramatic, and I’ve found that’s the key to a good sketch.
Hi #PortfolioDay! I’ve been teaching myself to draw portraits over the past year, and I love it.
@EvelynHoskins @luciejones1 @sandramarvinuk @WaitressUK Congratulations on your first rehearsal day! Looking forward to seeing you in February. For now here’s my fanart sketches of you and Lucie. Best wishes!
@HollyBrodieArt I tried adding your sky to one of my sketches… I quite like the effect!
I’d appreciate thoughts… Is this sketch better with or without a dark background?
This evening’s sketch. @EvelynHoskins was the very first person I drew when I started sketching last year.
Sending huge best wishes to her, @luciejones1 and everyone involved in the touring production of #Waitress - I can’t wait to see it later this year.
Experimenting with adding backgrounds to increase contrast. Watercolour pencils - I really need to work on the technique. Not great yet but it’s good to try new things...
I’m really happy with this one. It’s my fab friend @its_amycoutts - another really supportive member of the Twitter community. I’ve been editing it for a while and if I do any more I’ll ruin it!
