Hey it's #TransDayOfVisibility and I am trans and make artsy comics and visual poetry! Often about disability and stuff.

“Being Places” is just images of a face, with text suggesting different contexts and environments the person is in. People seem to think books let you imagine, and in comics the artist is the imaginer. But I love the idea of eliciting imagination from the comics reader!

I like how the alt text in this project is like a secret little descriptive bonus poem.

The first monthly comic I did was just a simple little thing because I didn’t want to overcommit. I was trying to express this feeling I had been having lately, a feeling of intense anxiety/stress that had a burning feeling to it.
