Happy 15th anniversary to MikuMikuDance!

MMD was released by Higuchi Yu on the 24th of February 2008. Over the last 15 years, the MMD community continues to grow and supported itself through fan-made plugins, assets, programs and art!

Congratulations to the two winners of December's #MMEContest by the theme of 'Fireworks', SpectraEevee and Chestnutscoop!

Renowned MMD modeler @REMmaple works on a Project Sekai edit of Hatsune Miku, as she appears in collab with @pocarisweat_jp! It's not known if this model will be distributed, but she's beautiful nonetheless!

#effectip: @khoast40 has allowed us to share a preview of their Animasa Hatsune Miku MMD toon shader, based on her original appearance in Animation Master!

The effect may be released around September for the model's birthday, so go follow Khoast to keep up to date with it!

Last week, @norm_sNs released a new MMD Hatsune Miku model, based on her appearance in the @jashinchan_PJ anime! The model comes with its own shader effect, the left image shows them on and the right shows them off.

Tda

Released in 2012, Tda is well regarded as the most popular model in the MMDC. Its usage grew so much that the TDA style has become popular in separate communities such as VRChat. The design is inspired by the Hatsune Miku Append Vocaloid voicebank.
