Felt extremely tired and burnt out this afternoon, so I decided to wind down the work week by coloring this great @ChrisSamnee Superman piece for fun, and it lifted my spirits tremendously. The man is so good! (Chris, I mean, not Superman. But also Superman.)
Happy #WonderWomanDay, folks! Here's @YanickPaquette and my cover to Wonder Woman 795, by @beckycloonan @michaelwconrad @amancay_art Jordie Bellaire and @PlinaGanucheau. From @DCComics in January!
Happy #NationalDogDay to all the best pals, rotten soldiers, sweet cheeses, and good time boys out there from the whole PAWS squad! 🐾
I also have a whole subfolder of commissions by the great Paul Smith. These single figures he does are fantastic for quick warm-ups.
I'm a sucker for old school X-Men. I have no idea when @EricCanete shared this recreation of @sinKEVitch's Dark Phoenix Saga cover, but I do remember coloring it that same day 😅
Ha! Doing some file management and came across an old folder full of line art (mostly commissions) I'd grabbed online. Looks like I colored a few for fun/practice, but don't think I ever bothered to share most of them online. Here's a fantastic Reed & Sue piece by @ChrisSamnee!
Hey, #Vancouver folx! VanCAF makes its triumphant return this weekend (Saturday and Sunday at the Roundhouse, from 10-5). Admission is free, as always, and I’ll be tabling with @msassyk! We’ll have stickers and prints and lots and lots of PAWS for the kiddos! See you there!
@KikkiPlanet @midgelambert The amazing thing about Staples is that he does his shilling for free. Most folks who do what he does at least get paid for their time.
@TylerWalpole That is fantastic, man! I don’t know if you remember, but we sat next to each other at ECCC maybe 6 years ago and you told me about how hard it was to get into doing illustrations for MTG! So cool that you made it. 🍻
Here's a look at the monoprint. It's page 34 from volume 4 — one of my favorites! (If you're wondering what a monoprint is, it's a one-of-a-kind archival giclée print that's signed, embossed and numbered 1/1).
