20 years ago, my cousins & I recorded my grandmother telling us stories of our family history, stories we’d heard many, many times. We lost all the tapes and I’ve been trying to immortalize those stories ever since. Now I get to!

THANK YOU, NEIGHBOR! came out of the darkest of pandemic times in NYC, where a simple “hello” or “thank you” went a long way. This book is an ode to my block, and to all the neighbors and essential workers who became our family. Comes out tomorrow! 1/2
