George Morikawa (Hajime no Ippo Author) drawing Naoya Inoue's cover art for his Ring Magazine debut is still one of the coolest things I've seen done when it comes to animanga crossovers
I can only imagine Morikawa's pride and joy seeing a fellow japanese man conquer the top.
and while I know it's pretty hard to recommend if you haven't played OG since the game spoils the biggest twist in FF7, if you don't mind that I highly recommend the game!
Of course, with its definitive version which is the Reunion Remaster!
Yakuza 4 (2010)
EN (9.5/10) > JP (6/10)
comments: The beginning of JP's downfall when it comes to creativity.
Y4's EN cover is fantastic with its color palette, composition, and overall smeary aesthetic. Love this cover.
Instead of an inferior replication of the original layout, the staff decided to reimagine the spread by combining the 2 poses Denji made in the manga version of the fight
and the anime even made a unique layout as background with the blood trails and intestines which is so sick!
That's why usually what happens in anime adaptations of manga panels are either they completely scrap the original layout and turn it into something more conservative,
or do a very mediocre panning shot recreation of the panel (mostly due to the usual time constraints)
horniness aside (ik crazy), I think I'll like Atelier series because it's like the SoL of JRPGs from what I've seen
it reminds me of the old JRPGs I used to play back in the PSP days. Would definitely consider playing in the future!
