Fun fact, the exposed spine design was initially on the hatir, but we moved it to the skollf afterwards as it felt more appropriate.

Initial designs had them look more like aliens and also different proportions. However, we decided to return to a more grounded feel after feedback as well as modularity.

While the Skollf are at the top of the food chain in XEL, they are not the only canine creature as others lurk in the shadows…

As we want to encourage the player to use the mechanics that are available to you in game, we wanted the Skollf to teach you blocking and dodging whilst utilising the targeting system.

Today we reveal another enemy in XEL: the Skollf. They feel most comfortable in the light (r/notlikeotherwolfs). Due to their infatuation and dedication to the light, they were able to harness a fraction of its power within them and imbue their attacks with fire.

JtR was our testing ground in terms of IAP, Ads but also analytics. We wanted our first game to be okay to fail, if all parties involved could learn from it.
And we learned A LOT: eg don't stuff you game full of cosmetics if people will not play the game long enough to see them.
