Just a reminder, @MarvelStudios, I know the perfect thespian who could portray the X-Men's most sinister adversary in a movie: Christopher Britton!

Another bucket list achieved. Even though it was just two pages, this is MY first time having pages published inside a Marvel comic book.
Artist Steve Lightle passed away from a covid related heart attack a year ago today. He was a regular joe, we would talk for hours sometimes on many subjects unrelated to comics, he really loved the fantasy lore of the Legion of Super-Heroes.
RIP my friend.....
Just saw this today in LA Times Calendar: In 1980 Hayao Miyazaki's "Castle of Cagliostro" so opened my cinematic eyes & imagination to the vast possibilities within the 2D animation I would later direct: X-MEN & GI JOE:The Movie. More influences: Area 88, Project A-KO, Giant Gorg

Way back in my teenage days, I got the chance to draw a few covers in the 70s for a comic book trade publication called the Comic Reader. It was so thrilling to see his work in color. #xmentas
Our X-Men writers were able to do the closest Phoenix/Dark Phoenix adaptation thus far by using 9 episodes to do so. WandaVision, Falcon & Winter Soldier & more are using same expansive format, including using our "Previously on" in their recaps. So Cool. #xmentas #DisneyPlus
In the early 80s, I discovered films from Director Hayao Miyazaki while working at Filmation Studios. Laserdiscs, no subtitles btw. His superb storytelling transcended language barriers & greatly inspired me to always be as innovative as I possibly can on whatever show I work on.
