2018: Did a solo pod where I listed my favs of 2018, and I placed Bloom into You in the top spot. Haven’t watched in a few years now, but I still stand by it.
2018: Celeste
It had been years since we were in our Super Meat Boy platforming prime. Celeste single-handedly rekindled our love of swift 2D movement, and it never talked down to us while we were getting our bearings. Plus, we never get tired of seeing it featured at GDQ.
2018: Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee.
The first Switch Pokémon and it included some cool mechanics from the mobile game.
4 years later, still waiting for Let’s Go Johto!
Feeling a bit burnt out with yearly releases now.
2018: Celeste all the way. It hits close to home on an emotional level while its gameplay compels me because I'm a weird little creature that adores twitch platformers. Special mention to Gris, which hits emotionally for similar reasons while being unreasonably beautiful.
2018: A Place Further Than The Universe is... Pretty much a perfect show. And a rare anime I would recommend to Any Human Being regardless of how much anime they've watched.
2018: Celeste
I think i'd be exiled from the LGBT community if i said anything else, so thankfully it really is my favorite game of 2018. a beautiful, challenging, and very fun game that truly is a joy every time. I still need to finish the c-sides and farewell one day.
2018: The 25th Ward. okay i mean it came out in 2005 but the remake which completely rebuilt the previously unplayable game from the ground up came out in 2018 so it counts, and i doubt this thread is gonna make it to 2005 anyway so i'm putting it here you can't stop me
2018: celeste. i'm honestly not great at 2d platformers (tho tbh, i also played it on switch and i think part of that was shitty joycons?) but it's just got an incredible atmosphere. and also is the second game i've mentioned so far that lena raine did an amazing soundtrack.

2017: Descending Stories: Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju
2016: Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju
2015: Death Parade
2018: the girl in the spiders web or bohemian rhapsody, into the spiderverse
