My fb feed is having a flood and rain of red. They’re coming out of the woodwork. And red-tagging publishing houses who made books against the dictatorship in the 70s-80s.

New FIRESTARTER feels very 80s. The killer John Carpenter music!

Also very 90s. It’s got that classic made-for-TV feel.

Also very early 00s. The color saturation!

Yet with its Wifis & Googles its all 2022 baby! Good flick. Pairs well with popcorn & HOT TAMALES.

Odin

Odin produced some of the best arcade adventures of the 1980s. Robin of the Wood, Nodes of Yesod, Mission AD, Heartland & Arc of Yesod, were all superbly polished, graphically and sonically brilliant and extremely playable top-notch games.

I’m not sure who this is, but I feel like I might have known her way back when … in the ‘80s. (Experimenting with a portrait style I’ve never tried. No “lines” per se … just long strokes.)

✨I swear me and a bunch of my cousins tried to sing and dance like Michael Jackson when we were kids in the 80s. So many "hee hees" and "shamones" while moonwalking in socks. Also played a lot of Moonwalker on Sega Genesis✨

It's a sequel to JESUS, a graphic adventure game released by Enix in the 80s. It's a sci-fi story that takes place on a space station named J.E.S.U.S., not to be confused with the manga JESUS (ジーザス) written by Kyoichi Nanatsuki and drawn by Yoshihide Fujiwara in the 90s.

Made this because I was bored.
Didn't include titles I don't remember well.
Glad that I could fill all years for 80s.

Video Game magazines of the early

Still a lot of fun to read today; the excitement of a new form of entertainment came across so well in these old publications.

On the latest they mention Texposition, another abandoned location-based entertainment project from the 80s. It was developed by WDI and James Rouse's Enterprise Development Company. Think of it as a mega-sized Pleasure Island - it even had Mannequins & Adventurers Club
