This week's #OnlineArtExchange is all about emotions. We've selected this jubilant looking motorist illustrated by Australian cartoonist, Henry Mayo Bateman, 1924. The poster was part of a humorous series in which the motorist comically promoted his pride in using Shell.
In 1910, the Fitzgerald Park Municipal Museum was opened to the public by former Lord Mayor Sir Edward Fitzgerald. It contained an eclectic mix of objects and its first and only curator was J P Dalton. It was closed in December 1924.

Josephine Verstille Nivison "Jo" Hopper was an American painter who studied under Robert Henri and Kenneth Hayes Miller, and won the Huntington Hartford Foundation fellowship. She was the wife of Edward Hopper, whom she married in 1924. HBD Edward, go Jo!
