One of my favourite aspects (as a woodland ecologist) of Brueghel’s work is his intimate knowledge of sylviculture where you can see pollarding, coppicing & other tree management. These were to provide poles, timber, wattle & foliage for hay. The Gloomy Day (1565)

"Paisaje con la caída de Ícaro" es una pintura al óleo sobre lienzo que durante mucho tiempo se atribuía a Pieter Brueghel el Viejo, aunque tras examinarla en 1996 se considera muy dudoso. Es probable que se trate de una versión de un original de Brueghel que se ha perdido.

Esta es una serie barroca flamenca de 5 cuadros creados entre 1617-18.

Rubens fue el encargado de los personajes y Brueghel creó los escenarios.
