it's sometimes hard to tell if I've made any progress or if I'm actually improving or if my style has just changed. Going through old art tells me where I've been and helps me see what I still need to improve on

It was bad going back to my old DA account to get this.
I guess I'm grateful it's not 2011 vs 2021 since I drew like garbage then. 2009 was pre-art school so I was fairly decent.
I definitely readopted my early style in recent years.

😬 my art 10 years apart. I would have used something else recently but all I have are over a dozen WIPs and unfinished commissions. The one from 2009 was made with a mouse and MS Paint probably during the many lectures I wasnt listening to during college

I was inspired to do one of those detailed 10 year art development templates and WOW it is surreal seeing a whole decade of art laid out for me to dissect. This was very fun and I am quite happy with myself! ✨ 💖
