The 'Dresden Type' hermaphrodite statue group was reproduced in 28 extant roman-era marble pieces (and two miniature bronzes). These statues depict a youthful classical hermaphrodite grappling (or mock fighting?) with a satyr, in a form known as an entanglement (symplegma).
