I’ve only seen 20 of Kinji Fukasaku’s 65 films so far, but this will always be my favourite. It’s not just an incredible piece of genre filmmaking, but it actually impacted popular culture & continues to inspire artists in different mediums to this day. Kinji’s true masterpiece!

Day 38 - “Jurassic Park (1993) is the movie that got me into filmmaking.

When I was a kid, the first thing I did when I came back from school was to play movie on my DVD player, sit in front of the TV and draw.

Ppl say that there’s a Marvel Style of filmmaking and there IS a sense of continuity among them all but imo at this stage the MCU has become an Umbrella of wildly varying tones/genres just like the comics, and it’s just a matter of watching what you like.

Early renders. If this is where we can get to in such a short period of time ( relatively ) wow. As a fine artist and filmmaker, I'm in love, with the textures, and imagination coming from & the brains, responsive algorithm is mind-blowing

and if you've noticed that I like to experiment with grand compositions like this piece here, it's because of the original interest in filmmaking I've held from my early animation student days 😌 so yes, highly recommend studying cinematography!! Watch a ton of movies, too!!

It feels weird to say, because this is by no means a great movie, but it was The Wizard of Speed & Time that did it. A movie almost entirely about the magic of filmmaking. https://t.co/F3SJ6poOui
