I thought I’d introduce all of you to my little mascot companion. This is key, a firelight lamb. They’re a bit touchy in personality but mean well in the end. It’s said they can hear or see things others can’t, being the voice for things I can’t gather all the time.

This week we have been looking at Burning the Tree, one of the stories in Stories by Firelight. The collection also includes Sea Singing, Shirley’s selkie story, which this illustration is from. Whilst the book is out of print second hand copies are currently readily available.
