Here's my 100% confirmed theory as to why Grookey won't evolve (hopefully). Never have ALL the starters in the region been fully evolved as a cast, there's always been at least one that didn't.

My favorite starter lines, I'm most opinionated on Gen 5 and later. The first three gens are all pretty ok, and I like Turtwig and Piplup but I don't really like Chimchars line. Or Grookeys. Monkeys aren't my cup of tea lol. I also hope Sprigatitos evolutions don't ruin it.

My most favourite is Bulbasour because of the evolution form
