Then I just color everything in. I make sure all layers are set to multiply so the shadows work. Then after it’s colored I add a layer above all the colored layers and do the highlights. I just use white and then lower the opacity a tad.

I've been a guildie for 7 months now so I drew myself as a guildie last night while watching Shou's art stream 😆 After doing art stream the past week, I decided to try and improve myself again. Really need to learn how to do shadows and highlights. Still got lots to learn 🤧

Another detail is highlights. They are mostly applied on hair and other reflective materials. These are white but sometimes have warm lining and the shade where they are placed usually gets darker before the actual white, like watercolor.
