Dieser süße Isländer hat Weihnachten ein neues Zuhause gefunden - also, das Bild natürlich 😉
Die monochromen Tierportraits finde ich immer wieder besonders und sie sind so schön zeitlos.

Jólakötturinn, an Icelandic legend of a
large and fierce Yule Cat that seeks to eat people who
have not received new clothes by Xmas Eve.
Merry Christmas Eve! Wishing you & your loved ones a
magical holidays (...With no visits from a giant cat!)
In Icelandic tradition, Yule Cat travels to towns & cities during Christmas time and eats anyone who hasn't received new clothes to wear before Christmas 😼
So It’s purrrfect time to collect my latest piece on @objktcom

Our trip through Icelandic Christmas folklore concludes with the Jólakötturinn – or Christmas Cat.
He's a black hairy beastie who hunts down and EATS children who don’t receive something new to wear for Christmas! I think he's giving cats a bit of a bad name!
Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!
The thirteenth and final Icelandic Yule Lad, who will be visiting Thursday night and leaving treats for Friday morning, is Kertasníkir, or Candle-Stealer. In olden days, candles used to be made from animal fat.... Kertasníkir evidently developed a taste for them.
Keep an eye on your glazed ham, folks! Icelandic Yule Lad number twelve is Ketkrókur or Meat-Hook. He goes around stealing meat from houses with his special hooks!

The piece is inspired by the legend of the Yule Cat. In Icelandic tradition, this giant and vicious cat is active during Christmas time, when it may travel to towns and cities and eat anyone who hasn't received new clothes to wear before Christmas.
Who's next? It's Gáttaþefur or Doorway-Sniffer! Our eleventh Yule Lad boasts a massive nose with which he can smell Icelandic laufabrauð (leaf bread) from great distances. Miraculously, he never gets a cold!
Protect yer strings o' sausages, folx! It's 5 days afore #Yule & #Bjúgnakrækir, aka #SausageSwiper, is coming tonite!
Take him & the other #YuleLads on this #Yuletide in my #Icelandic #holiday #horror adventure GRÝLA AND THE YULE LADS!
On sale now! LINK: https://t.co/waVpLz5SQf
The ninth Icelandic Yule Lad to visit is Bjúknakrækir or Sausage-Swiper - my favourite! He is swift and stealthy, so keep an eye on your sausages!!
My lil bubby is celebrating Yule the Icelandic way! All ready for December 20th when Bjugnakraeker the sausage snatching Yule Lad comes to steal all your wieners! Happy hodldays! #UglySweaterPillars @toddlerpillars @SuperchiefNFT @dontfeedwolfeth
Skyrgámur or Skyr-Gobbler is the eighth Icelandic Yule Lad to visit. He loves Icelandic Skyr, so keep an eye on your fridges after midnight!
I am thrilled & terrified 😱 for you to meet the villains of my new📚 book, GRÝLA AND THE YULE LADS! These #Icelandic #folkloric baddies are trying to ruin #Yuletide in the alpine village of Mǫrkthwait, & it's up to you to save the day! #DnD #OSR #OSRIC
