So that was an hour of my evening well spent 😅 There are a fuck load of posts misattributing that piece of art!
Thing is, Imaishi /has/ actually drawn plenty of Evangelion stuff before. These can be sourced directly from his "Anime Art Works" book - https://t.co/xoZoGsb5Fj
farmgirl is excited! but for what?

4. i have too many art idols. i'll just list 4 pros that come to mind first: imaishi, kamome shirahama, syundei, natsume ono
Illustration made by Hiroyuki Imaishi to support his friend Atsushi Nishigori during the production of IDOLM@STER, featuring the anime's characters next to Panty from PSG and Yoko from TTGL.
We can read "Nishigori, do your best! "Keep running and running to the very end!"
4.) fav artists/idols: Eiichiro Oda, Bryan Lee O’malley, Tetsuya Nomura, and Yusuke Murata are all idols. I love their art style and it’s influenced my own style in a way as well.
Honorable mentions include: Hiroyuki Imaishi, Glen Murakami, Joe Madureira, and Alex Ahad.
Anyone know of any indie developers that need an Imaishi/Anime inspired art style?
Btw prepare for UIR and my art as a whole to go full on Imaishi
Episode 13 will showcase that much more
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann by Hiroyuki Imaishi
As a kid, I watched Gurren Lagann with my dad and it got me into anime - the director was Hiroyuki Imaishi, one of the founders of Studio Trigger. Thank you for all the wonderful memories and shows, and looking forward to Star Wars Visions! #TRIGGER10th

Trying to study some Hiroyuki Imaishi stuff, and this is something I made with Fern to try imitating it a bit, I think it turned out pretty well!

@GAINAXNET
Appreciation post for Studio Trigger because I've been a fan since 2017, and that all started with Kill la Kill and Hiroyuki Imaishi. If you had told me that he would be directing an official Star Wars short film, I would have called you delusional. Star Wars is a huge obsession.
Star Wars: Visions (one of the studios featured: TRIGGER) - Can’t wait! More information of other studios on https://t.co/dHK1OgfXef! 😳💕💖 Hiroyuki Imaishi is one of my art heroes and I’m excited to hear that he’ll be working on a Star Wars short!
