two characters appearing from previous titles, Big Boss and Ocelot.
However, since the events from MG1/2 and MGS1/2 haven't happened at all in MGS3, you don't need to understand what happens in those games to get the story of this one.
メイリンといったらやっぱり思い出すのはMGS1
そしてEXTREME難易度でクリアすると解禁されるメイリン撮影会🙄
ち、ちがうんや・・・こんなんがしたくて頑張ったんやないんや・・・

Apparently Meryl also gets Snake's outfit on this playthrough, but it's limited to the PC port and the Japanese rerelease of MGS1 called Integral. Just need a japanese ps1 or 2 and I can get my own shots.
Foxhound (Shadow Moses)
This is the version of Foxhound that most people know about. The ferocious fox holding a knife in it's mouth cracks me up for some reason. The much more serious nature of MGS1 benefits from it's inclusion.
@GhostBigfoot GB is a GameBoy Color game that plays like MGS1 with it's own unique story.
Acid is a turn based card strategy game.
@BadHumans It's a shame that Raymond Benson's novel was more original and interesting in MGS1, with various modifications to fit MGS4, but in MGS2 it was just a transcript of the scenario, for better or worse.
I wonder if this is because Ryan Payton left Kojima Productions?
@shainehinnant @LordEmmerich @MGSContext @MetalGear_OOC I think the Metal Gear Gander in Ghostbabel was designed by Shinkawa. He said that he appropriated the design of Metal Gear from MGS1. I think it's probably based on the third design in the art book.

a mgs1 doodle in honor of a tumblr milestone - drawing characters on bike-type vehicles for those is a silly little tradition I have
@FoundationNova thank you for being respectful but I have to also respectfully disagree. The simpler styles have stayed clear and interesting with the characters where MGS1's dont really hold up, the BGs in MGS1 look really cool to me though
heres a comparison of Snake and Megaman
@BadHumans Decoy Octopus' nationality is very rarely stated publicly as being Mexican; it is not listed on the official MGS1 website, in the MGS1 art book, or in the MGS4 database.
Probably in Japan, only the MGS1 strategy book and AC!D2 explain it.
