Fractal fun fact: The „B.“ in „Benoit B. Mandelbrot“ stands for „Benoit B. Mandelbrot“. Few. 🌿

A very nice piece from featuring Mandelbrot on the left and Anessi on the right. I wonder what they're looking at?

My dragon is wholly dimensionally incapable above land, that's why he relies on Mandelbrot--seen here making sense of Anessi's wandering by consulting the bounty map.

Mathematics, Psychedelics, Cybernetics.

Exploring the Mandelbrot Set is like a journey through a forest landscape, a process of discovery of new forms and species, an infinite Homeric odyssey for the 21st century. [Visualization by ]

Making a circuitous return back to 's Chaos and , Rudy Rucker has a Github repository with a program based on the Chaos book! A nice tour of Mandelbrot sets, physics simulations, and strange attractors.

Still on the Mandelbrot kick, I have a buttload of higher-D Mandelbrot sets, the "Rudy Set," and some videos and rules for use in the Ultra Fractal ware on my blog post from 2010. Show here, The Virgin of Mandelupe. https://t.co/zh9BBkR9G6

I was super happy to see today's I got to meet Mandelbrot almost two decades ago when my geometry teacher took me and another student to a talk. I'm still obsessed with fractals and have a Sierpinski's pyramid I printed sitting on my desk at work.

Mathematician known as the father of fractal geometry, was born in 1924.

Next time you see a pattern of ice crystals forming on a window, look at the spirals of pinecone seeds, or cook some Romanesco broccoli....think of him.

My first 3d rendering using Mandelbulber - I'm still getting my head around how this works. I've seen some fantastic videos - where are the best tutorials?I want to make videos - not still images - is anyone else using it?
