In case anyone's curious about the process I used for my fake animated Elric screencaps.

1) Background painting
2) Lines (as clean as possible, to make it seem animatable)
3) Flat colors
4) Shadows (the only rule being "core shadows are soft cast shadows are crisp")

An interesting localization difference! In English, "I'LL GET SO" over-runs the dialogue box, adding to the whole glitchy feel of Spamton. In Japanese it doesn't do that! A little nuance lost.
(my screencaps always come out red/blue swapped just ignore that)
