Speccy version of this is actually pretty good. Nice frame-rate, and some good racing action to be had. 👍

Everyone remembers this classic, the Speccy version had 48K/128K version and on either side of the tapes it had the soundtrack from the arcade game, quality stuff

Love this game, I like all the details on the tracks, but it can be hard to see your car sometimes on the speccy version, but still had great fun.

Another serving of Why yes it is, and as usual, I've assembled four covers from gaming mags of yesteryear, some more yestery than others; from the humble speccy anticipating a 128k future all the way to, well, a ghost of a game.

It's one of those things where it'd always be nice to have the C64 version take better advantage of the C64's hardware. But business decisions seem to get in the way of that. 🤔 Also, if you're copying the speccy code exactly, you don't have to look for new bugs. (in theory.) 😉

Speccy was ahead of it's time, could see into the future

A Speccy-palette pirate.

Inspired by a theme from a few days ago, but since no pixels were placed by hand, can this be considered material? :D

I really like the Speccy version of this.
Actually, I think it's the only version of Wec Le Mans that I've played at all. 😋

(Also: man, isn't that game-completion screenshot creepy!?) 😮

I never got on with Wec Le Mans originally, put this game is a great conversion of the arcade, the Speccy version is super fast.

Can clearly remember seeing those HUGE sprites moving around my 14" colour screen for the first time back in 1985 on my beloved Speccy! 👍🥫🥦❤️

This BASIC maze game appeared in Input magazine around 1984 which I (mis)typed into my and eventually got working. I was always impressed with how simple the code was for something quite complex. Even the Speccy version looks great!
