Details are based on in-game references and sprites. Some characters described him as handsome.Hat is reversed. His clothes and pants are ripped and tattered because he had a hard life. He puts more focus on his pokemon than himself (because that's how i play him)

That's because he never actually had overalls! One "strap" is just the outline of his body, and the other is the outline of his thumb (his other hand is slightly poking out from under is cape). Here, I tried to illustrate what I think is really going on in his sprites.
