I mean, THAT face from HZD is already starting to look dated BECAUSE they went for realism and graphics tech has already grown past this.

Meanwhile, Yoshi's island still remains fresh because they tried to get the most stylisation they could get out of the SNES' hardware

Hello ! I'm a 20 year old illustrator who started in realism oil portraits. I've made a lot of fanart bc I've been working on colouring/ stylisation. I'm also currently working on comic/sequential art! Thanks for reading !

Hi ! Couldn't get DMs to work. More pictures on my twitter. My current portfolio is a lot of fan art because I've really been focusing on stylisation/ studying colour and lighting so I definitely have the skills you're looking for ! It would be amazing to work with you ! Thanks

❣️: With regards to style, my biggest inspo is Chiara Bautista. Her ideas and her style just embody the perfect mix of realism and stylisation

As for lineart— it has to be Jen Bartel. I love using lines in my hair, I love how she translates realistic proportions into solid lines https://t.co/wsMHqWE3Xt

Here we are brand new Yamato and Uzume icons brought to you by !

This is Krazy’s second try at drawing Yamato and hoo boy did she get quite the facelift from last time, she looks even better now!
Goes to show a little stylisation doesn’t hurt.

Travail de stylisation sur une illustration de James Jean, (La composition n'est pas de moi, seulement la stylisation et la couleur ) :)

- working on a personal piece of Loki with Jörmungandr that should be ready to show soon
- playing with stylisation that may allow me to offer commissions at a lower rate while keeping my work in my own style, using a friend's runescape character

the way he makes hands etc , even if he has his own style i always thought it wasnt the kind of stylisation you find in japanese drawing / aesthetic 🤔

..I’ve been poring over it for years now, but it wasn’t until recently I really LOOKED at his work and realised where I’d been going wrong: I was adding more and more details trying to prefect everything, but a lot of the beauty in his work is the simplification and stylisation!

Since when did comic art become life drawings? Thin waist, big eyes, large hands, big heads. It's called stylisation and it's been part of art, design, and comics for years. You don't have to like it, but you have to accept it.
