In the concept art for Jewel she wore a yellow outfit, had blue eyes, and no nose. Later she'd receive a different design that more closely resembled her final design, but still retaining the blue eyes and lack of a nose.

and MAN, she she been through a lot. she went out of her way to help someone in need, even if she lead to her getting Infected. then after the infection was over she genuinely tried to help Amy.
