Heart Gear by Tsuyoshi Takaki, the mangaka of Black Torch. I'm only 2 volumes into BT but I don't think I like it much. HG, however, seems to have more interesting theme and his art fits better with mecha imo. There are currently only 4 chapters out so I'll wait and see.
