Two of the microgames in WarioWare: Twisted involve serving drinks to a person in a dark room. The Japanese version (left column) takes place in a city at night and serves colorful cocktails; this was changed to milk and cola during daytime in the American version (right column).
In WarioWare: Twisted, a box of Mona Pizza appears briefly during Mona's story intro. In the international versions, the box is decorated with an elaborate logo and drawing of Mona as the Mona Lisa (left). In the Japanese version, however, the design is more amateurish (right).

In Level 3 of the "Opening Night" microgame in WarioWare: Smooth Moves, Samus Aran from the Metroid series appears playing a cello (left). This is likely a reference to the NES version of Tetris, where upon reaching a high enough score, Samus also appears playing a cello (right).

In the international versions of WarioWare: Smooth Moves, the R.O.B. fought at the end of the Star Fox boss microgame uses a gun modeled after the toy-like NES Zapper. In the Japanese version, however, the R.O.B. uses the more realistic-looking Famicom Beam Gun.
In the WarioWare Gold version of the microgame "Burying the Hatchet", Mario's right sleeve is correctly colored red, while his left sleeve is colored blue for an unknown reason. Note that this is a remake of a microgame from WarioWare: Twisted, where both sleeves were red.
