I’m not sure what day of the prompt is but here is ‘Bloodlines’ a photo-digital print. Also a play on words :-)

This self-portraits begins an upcoming series of portraits of ancestors & others.

Day 25 for (playing catch-up) is

This 60x40” painting ‘Heartspace 3’ answers where we keep the people & places & things that we hold in our hearts by playing with heart structures a little.

For adaptable, I give you the many Grackles of WDW.

Day 22 - for I'm picking on the Sphynx cat for this prompt. They're neat animals but only came about from selective breeding in the 1960s in Canada. 🤯

For the day 27 of the prompt is 'adaptable'. Snakeheads are one of the most adaptable species, we see them all around the world and have proven to survive through extreme conditions!

Day 22 Illogical and also calling it for familial as well.

Illogical because it's called chicken of the woods which is a decidedly illogical name. And familial because they're often in groups!

Also yes I am spamming to play catch-up 🙃

Forgot to share these sketches for Day 17 Mechanical and combined Days 19 & 20 - Cerulean and Botanical

I don't think I'll be drawing more rovers anytime soon 🤣

After quitting day 26: Energy (I really didn' find anything that fits - and no time to make something!), here is

Day 27: Adaptable

Eurasian (Pica pica)
Like other pica species, these birds are true generalists!
- 2013

for is "Energy." 🌊

Another couple of pieces that would probably work just as well for the "circular" prompt, but I think these also express ideas about energy.

Both of these artworks are from 2015, the first in watercolor & the second in acrylic.

Day 19 - for On a trip to NOLA standing in the rain I saw this neon sign. Made it my sketchbook cover and then made it a gif. Also may have tried blinding myself by looking up neon turning on and off.

Day 18 - for A bit more abstracted . A Family group with support and a family member leaving with a guide.
but more ya?

“Theoretical” makes me think of speculative zoology. Which makes me think of hypothetical display structures on, say, Triceratops…

(Look somebody else suggested this years ago; it’s not entirely my fault.)

For circular prompt, which I didn’t quite manage yesterday. I do adore circles so here is an eye nebula for your Saturday🧿💫.

A couple more illustrations for the "Circular" theme 🔵🟢🟡

I dug out a couple OLD drawings, both from 2012. Ink & marker on paper.

for is "Circular." 🟡🟠🔴

I use circular shapes in my work a lot. My sketchbooks are full of Venn diagram-like doodles. I'm unsure what the attraction is to these shapes but I always return to them.

These are both acrylic & glitter on canvas, 2016.

"evolving"
Crows are aware of themselves & able to think consciously, but lack the part of the brain (cerebral cortex) that scientists posited as the location of this type of thinking. Implying consciousness might be older & more widespread than believed (duh?)

Day 23:
A tree (symbolising a cancer cell) fertilised with splicing modulators blooms with bright neoantigens, which enhance tumour recognition by the immune system 🌳🌺
