The designs in Sonic Unleashed are nice and cartoony, but to me they don't really fit Sonic's design philosophy. Not quite sure why, but they always felt a bit off to me.

#AnimalFigureOfTheDay is another Early Learning Centre figure from the 1990s: the large Red deer stag. It's a bit cartoony, too red. But it's a satisfyingly large, chunky figure. I have two, one of which has its antlers on back-to-front!
@MambaVirus I've tried doing realistic before but I can never get the head or face right, but the body looks great usually, but for cartoony it's the opposite, bad body, good face

@Shockdingo If they want to go for a more cartoony, even cel shaded look, then the perfect reference is Bengus' art circa X-men vs Street Fighter. You don't need any more colors or fine details than this. You absolutely need these incredibly subtle, refined shapes though!
