Dual wielding a powerful set of bug-chucks, this chitin covered beauty is the martial arts emissary for the insect kingdom! Although her wings appear small and ornamental, they are great at giving her flying roundhouse kicks some extra oomf! #characterdesign #bug
Bugs are a great source of inspiration as they look like machines covered in an armour of chitin that was inflated a bit to give the edges a beveled or smoothed finish. All parts fit perfectly and allow these walking fortresses a certain amount of mobile freedom.
Digging into my backlog a bit, this was a trade piece I did for @swordgamesink of their character Mercury! It was tons of fun but the lighting haunted me for days on end because i wanted to get the chitinous shapes and shine *just so*. 😅 Learned a lot on this one though!
